Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark spiky blonde hair and a pumped up personality reveals easy methods to master and removes anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell also has worked in some of New York's top eateries, studied the Italian food and culture and has participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her after she graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in English as well as Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. It was hard to study how to do, or even work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she grew to truly be aware of the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which has had a profound impact on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate where she has a mission to raise awareness for young diabetics. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher Burrell travels throughout the United States to discuss her love for cooking and profession. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she's grateful to share with others what is essential to her.
